I saw a post here a few days ago about a software that can be used to make your phone into a web cam.... What is it called again? And where is that post? Thanks

I know where it went but I have to analyze it before I put it back up. If I remember correctly, the description says FULL which makes it warez. Let be double check and then I'll put it back if it is not warez. EDIT:: It was in fact warez. It was a cracked version to get the full program without paying for it and that is why it was removed. A simple google search will make it easy to find. The name of the software was: WebCamera Plus: MobileTrial: http://www.cnet.com.au/downloads/soa/We ... 11s,00.htmPlease do no post it back here if you find it.

Ahh ok... i just needed the name and confirmation that you had it working on the HTC Touch? I download the trial , I couldnt get it working... well the Camera+ showed me a blank screen, the Camera was blank but when I Stopped (click on Stop on the lower right corner of the screen), it showed me the web cam capture... but on the webcam plus software omn the desktop was still searching for connection... im using vista and WMDC so may be its in compatible

I really don't know as I no longer have a Touch. I'd love to test it but we both know that's not possible. I suggest searching for another version of the WebCamera Plus software and see if you can find another version that works. I think that maybe because it is trial that it may not have all features enabled which is highly likely.

sephiro wrote: sorry about that that was my fault Not a problem just be careful not to post warez in the future. I personally do not have a problem with warez however if the author of the program were to notice a cracked version was posted on a forum he/she could issue a DMCA takedown notice and we could be shut down until the file was removed. It's just a preventative measure.

You may want to check out www.livecast.com. I've been using it for a couple of months. It is free and it works well. You can stream live video from your phone (it is delayed a few seconds), save video to your phone, upload the video to store on your livecast page or automatically post your video to youtube or similar sites. You can even select the quality of the video so that you can stream it even when your signal is not great.

Delay is about 20 seconds, and if you stop broadcasting, it stops immedeatly for the viewers. Just somethign to keep in mind if you need someone to see or hear something.
It will use the GPS to geolocate the broadcast as well. I can see a lot of uses for this. I wish it was available years ago when I was in tech support and working with field engineers. I wouldhave had them install it and actually be able to show me the hardware they were working on so I could direct them on what to fix.

livecast is indeed pretty cool my only problem is it seems to lag for me either way Im about to do a hard reset so hopefully that clears any issues that 3rd party apps may have caused

I've found that when it lags for me it is because I have a poor signal. Also, the higher quality settings will cause a longer lag. With an average signal and medium quality transmission I have around a 30 second delay.

Regarding webcam software, I had it working, but that was in Windows XP, was ok, bot had to find a way to get the Vogue to stand up.. Not too bad over all tho..
