I was attempting to unlock the GPS on my XV6900 after installing the official Verizon WM 6.1 update, following the instructions on the wiki here: http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?title=Pocket_PC_WIki:FIX_VERIZON_GPS.

I got through the unlocking with 0.40 coke and was flashing 'Flash Sprint ROM RUU_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_1.12.651.1_2.13.00_SPC_NV133_Ship'.

At 13%
complete
te the usb cable was disconnected. I'm now stuck on the rainbow screen with the following info displayed:
VOGU100
SPL-0.36.0000
CPLD-3

'RUUNBH' is displayed in the upper right hand corner.

I tried t
o reflash t
he sprint ROM, and have also tried hard and soft resets without any success.

So this is my last hope. Is there anyone out there who can help out a noob, or did I damage my phone beyond repair.

Thanks in advance for your help. This is by far the most helpful sight I've come accross in my short time researching ROM flashing!

You used the wrong unlocker for starters.
You need the 2.31 coke unlocker

First thing you need to do is find YOUR carriers most recent ROM and try flashing it. It SHOULD bring it back.
Then run the 2.31 unlocker
The .40 unlocker is not overwrite protected so the carrier ROM will prolly relock it.
Then flash the custom ROM of your choice.

Let us know how it turns out

Thanks for the reply. I was folloeing the instructions in the wiki I linked to in the OP. Are those instructions out of date? I was a little concerned, but I believe the quote from another thread in this forum was "believe in the wiki, trust the wiki"...LOL

In the time I was waiting for my post to be approved I did attempt, unsuccessfully to unlock w/ 2.31, but I get an error message that no device is connected.

Is there any hope, or is it time to start looking for a new phone?

Thanks again for your help.

Push Power and camera buttons together then poke in and hold the reset button till the bootloader screen pops up.
then plug your phone into the miniUSB attached to you PC
Then reflash the Official 6.1 Verzion ROM (Activesync wont recognize it but it will go ahead and flash) or it should anyways.
After your totally back to stock THEN
run the 2.31 unlocker

That wiki was written for people who had let customizations run. If you let the customizations run on the official leaked verizon rom, the only way to get gps back is to reset the radio. Hence why it said to use the original unlocker. If you are simply setting up your gps you should check out dharveys, or nfsfans threads in the p[remium content section.
