Has anyone done and test this successfully? I've seen custom ROMs that claim to have ICS or "tethering fix" or "tether-proof" but Im scarecd to try it out :s Any recommendations would be appriciated!

I have been using nfsfans rom for months now and have used the tether feature and haven't incurred any charges. can't speak for other roms but no problem on his.

When you tether, are you tethering with Internet Sharing of another program like PDA NET?

I use Internet Sharing through USB and it works like a charm. No charges yet.

And a big thanks to nfsfan for his Tethering free roms! My work lost its internet and we actually tethered my Touch and submitted our payroll to the bank LOL. Everyone got paid today thanks to nfsfan

I agree with using NFSFAN's rom, ive had my phone like 6 weeks now and i put NFSFANS's rom on there and have been tethering almost constantly all month and no extra charges were incurred. The only problem i am having is the net drops after 2 hours of straight running 90% of the time but i do have those few times where i ran it for 16-20 hours straight no problems, i am trying to figure out how to resolve the 2 hour problem but its not working out for me.
Bottom line grab NFSFAN's rom and your golden.

I also use NFSFAN's ROM. Teathering has been working great for me on Verizon for months with no problems. There are a few other ROMs out there that have this feature. I flash a new one from time to time just to test them out, but I always seem to go back to NFS.
